Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of high school after her parents separated to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. She landed her debut role, as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the lead actress in Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace decided to leave the series to focus on her film career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken in 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two episodes, including the final episode of the series. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began in the teen years with minor parts in a few of the films of her father and starred together with her brother in cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). As an unmarried mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the dramatics and comedies: Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (2012). The other roles she played were a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in the film Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
